MISS. MUNROE

I really love her backstory and the iterations she’s gone through over the years.

Been trying to adapt/absorb a few new style/processes recently to try and break away from my art slump. This is my Rapoza rip-off haha.

Dave has a fantastic tutorial here:

This was another experiment to see how much animation I could get ‘for free’. All the effects were done in after effects and were super simple. I was thinking that if I were to do an animated comic, how long a page would take etc. I think at least the hair would need to be animated otherwise they look too stiff.

It’s been a weird couple months so this is all I’m going to be able to get done for the JULY AnimChallenge.

The Creepy Coupe! My (very late) entry to the WackyRaces June AnimChallenge.

Wanted to try out a more painted style animation, mixing traditional 2D methods with puppet animation. It was an fun experiment but I don’t think I’m going stick with this style.
P.S. Having some really bad compression issues with this Gif. :( Anyone have any advice? It looks OK right before it’s uploaded.

Sorry for the long absence. I’ve been sans computer for a while. Getting back on track with the Cloak and Dagger animations. :)
Just thought I’d throw this up. I was quickly showing a friend on G+ hangouts how I take reference all the way to a rough concept. And also how it can be changed. Did a gypsy witch character but then thought an arabian sorceress would be neat. Could push the pose even more now that I see it. :D
I have no idea if this helps anyone or if more description of the process is needed? Or if taking this to a finished concept/illustration would be something people want to see, but I’m happy to help or do some more if people benefit from these things.

Thanks residentbunburyist for finding it for me :)
Thanks and happy doodlin’

Another first pass concept animation, this time for a special attack. Tried animating this in Photoshop which was a pain since it doesn’t preview it in realtime on this machine :/ Still needs some inbetweens to smooth it out a bit, but I quite like the snappy quality it has. I think it gives it more energy.
Not doing the clean up versions until I have all the rough animation done. This way there will be a consistency in the quality of the animation (since I’m actually learning quite a bit with these little guys) :)
Cannot wait to try out the special effects. :D
Hope you enjoy!

Hello Everybody!

Even though I’ve had this page for a while now, I’ve only started Tumblring properly this last week. I was blown away when my work got put on Tumblr radar and my work got a lot of attention.

Just like to say ‘Hi’ and ‘Thank you’ to all the new followers and that I appreciate you guys Sharelikafollowing my work.

Still going strong with this 2D game idea. Want to show the creation of a game from the artists point of view. :)

Thanks again! :)
